Kembara Mahkota Johor 2010, Johor Mahkota Ride on high-powered motorcycles, was led by Johor Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar. The three-day convoy of 30 motorcycles will ride around the state's districts covering 777 kilometres which start from Pontian will visit Batu Pahat, Muar, Ledang, Kluang, Mersing and Kota Tinggi.


Fugitive Handed Over To Singapore

Fugitive Mas Selamat bin Kastari, Jemaah Islamiyah militant, was handled over to Singapore Police. Mas Selamat was Singapore’s Most Wanted Man after he escaped from a Singapore detention centre. He was caught hiding in a small Johor Kampung.


Malaysia Prime Minister Visit Singapore

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak made a two-day working visit to Singapore. Mr Najib was accompanied by Foreign Minister Anifah Aman and Menteri Besar of Johor Abdul Ghani Othman. Prime Minister Najib will meet Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for a discussion on bilateral issues.


New Surf Stimulator In Sunway Lagoon

Flowrider, the first surf stimulator in Malaysia, offers surfing, body boarding and wakeboarding in Sunway Lagoon. It also uses state-of-the-art technology to pump up to 200,000 litres of water to create artificial waves and rapid currents. The Flowrider is also equipped with a divider that allows two riders to “flow” safely at the same time.


Anwar Ibrahim Sacking Was Lawful

The sacking of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister 11 years ago was lawful. The Federal Court ruled against Anwar by Court of Appeal president Alauddin Mohd Sheriff and Federal Court judges Mohd Ghazali Mohd Yusof and Abdull Hamid Embong dismissed Anwar's final appeal for a declaration that his dismissal from his cabinet post as DPM (Deputy Prme Minister) in 1998 was unconstitutional.


POS Malaysia opens new retail outlet

Pos Malaysia opened its one hundredth retail outlet at Tropicana City Mall in Damansara Utama. The new outlet provides both retail and postal services, including payment of bills, ASNB and JPJ transactions, posting convenience for normal mail, PosLaju, registered mail and other postal items, remittance, as well as sale of stamps and philatelic items.


Women Canned For Sex Crime

The Malaysian Home Minister announced that three women were caned at the Kajang Prison under Section 23 (2) of the Syariah Criminal Offences (Federal Territories) Act 1997 for having illicit sex. The three became the first women in the country to be caned for committing syariah offences. The Syariah High Court had issued the caning order between December 2009 and January 2010.


Anwar Sodomy Trial 2.0

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's new version of Sodomy Trial begins today at Kuala Lumpur Federal Court. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, a 63 year old Opposition Leader, has engaged three foreign DNA and forensic experts to assist in his trial. The court claimed that he had sodomise (engage in an unnatural sexual intercourse with) his former personal aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, age 25, in Bukit Damansara on June 26, 2008. Anwar Sodomy Trial 1.0 was in 1999.


Alcohol bottle thrown at Malaysia mosque

Vandals threw an alcohol bottle at a mosque in the first attack on a Muslim house of worship. The was mosque which is located located in Sarawak. Most Muslims consider alcohol illegal. Local police blamed "naughty boys" for the incident and have dismissed the attacks as vandalism. But it have caused disquiet in multiracial Malaysia and raised fears of more widespread religious tensions.
