WWW1 License Auctioned For Half A Million Ringgit

The Malaysian Road Transport Department has announced that the winning bid for "WWW1" was sold at a record price of 520,000 RM (Malaysian Ringgit, MYR) to Sultan Ibrahim Ismail. Sultan Ismail is a constitutional lead from the state of Johor.


Anwar Sodomy 2.0 Verdict = Anwar Acquitted

The whole of Malaysia was anxious to hear High Court judge Justice Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah verdict for opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim trial. Where Datuk Anwar had sodomised his former aide, a young 23-year old man, three years ago. About 5,000 people gathered outside the country supreme court located along Jalan Duta in Kuala Lumpur, celebrated on news of his Acquittal. In the common law tradition, an acquittal formally certifies the accused is free from the charge of an offense.


Malaysia Prime Minister Visit Singapore

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak made a two-day working visit to Singapore. Mr Najib was accompanied by Foreign Minister Anifah Aman and Menteri Besar of Johor Abdul Ghani Othman. Prime Minister Najib will meet Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong for a discussion on bilateral issues.


Anwar Ibrahim Sacking Was Lawful

The sacking of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister 11 years ago was lawful. The Federal Court ruled against Anwar by Court of Appeal president Alauddin Mohd Sheriff and Federal Court judges Mohd Ghazali Mohd Yusof and Abdull Hamid Embong dismissed Anwar's final appeal for a declaration that his dismissal from his cabinet post as DPM (Deputy Prme Minister) in 1998 was unconstitutional.


Women Canned For Sex Crime

The Malaysian Home Minister announced that three women were caned at the Kajang Prison under Section 23 (2) of the Syariah Criminal Offences (Federal Territories) Act 1997 for having illicit sex. The three became the first women in the country to be caned for committing syariah offences. The Syariah High Court had issued the caning order between December 2009 and January 2010.


Anwar Sodomy Trial 2.0

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's new version of Sodomy Trial begins today at Kuala Lumpur Federal Court. Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, a 63 year old Opposition Leader, has engaged three foreign DNA and forensic experts to assist in his trial. The court claimed that he had sodomise (engage in an unnatural sexual intercourse with) his former personal aide Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, age 25, in Bukit Damansara on June 26, 2008. Anwar Sodomy Trial 1.0 was in 1999.


To Be Canned For Consuming Alcohol

A woman was fined RM5,000 and ordered to be caned six times by the Kuantan Syariah High Court after she pleaded guilty to consuming alcohol in public. She is expected to undergo her caning sentence after her audience with the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang.

Singapore Fugitive Caught In Johor

Mas Selamat, a fugitive on the run from the Singapore Police, was caught and put under interrogation by the Malaysian authorities. Mas Selamat used an improvised flotation device to escape from the north shore of Singapore to Johor. He then made is way north and stayed in a secluded house in Kampung Tawakal, an obscure village with the population of less than 100 in Skudai, 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Johor Bahru. Warning: This is not an April Fool’s joke.
